Bloody and mucus

I have UC for 9 years now. When I am in a bad flare up , I will only have mucus and blood come out with some diarrhea. it feels like I am constipated though, even though I am frequently using the bathroom. does anyone else experience this? I have to be constipated because the amount of BM does not equal my intake of food.

Yes, when I had UC symptoms, I experienced the same. Do you always have some symptoms? Are you taking any meds? I found Rowasa enemas helped control my symptoms pretty well when I had a flare.
