The reference range for your TSH test is outdated , the reference range set by the AACE is about 4.3 .
We are not doctors here, only a fellow patients who try to help others through our own personal experience, so I can't tell whether she has to start you on Levo with such a TSH, when I was diagnosed my TSH was above 10.
Did she tell you when will she start you on Levo ? has she tested you for hashimoto through the antibodies I listed above ?
If you have hashi, then when they start you on Levo your TSH will go down and then rise again due to the destruction caused by the antibodies to your gland, this in turn indicate the need to increase the dose , this process repeats it self several times until you reach a steady state, your aim with the TSH should be around 2-3 .
