Your T4 is low. It should be closer to the high end of the range to be optimal. Has your doctor tested your T3, TPO or TgAB? Those results would help tell more of a bigger picture.
Have you found your root cause of your thyroid issue? Addressing that will also help you feel better.

Hi,
Are you on any thyroid medication ?
Your TSH is optimal, however, ask your doctor to run thyroid antibodies to determine whether you have an autoimmune thyroiditis , those are antiTPOab,TGab and TSIab , the first two can cause both hypo and hyperthyroidism and the last one is indicative of hyperthyroidism .
I would recommend to repeat TSH test every 6 weeks !
Best wishes ,

Thanks to both posters.
I don't think those tests have been done. She's sending me off to rheumatology-will they do it? Not got the appointment yet.
No medication, not been diagnosed as the doc is not acknowledging a problem. How do I get better without a diagnosis or treatment?
I'm definitely going to request blood tests AGAIN!

I am not sure , maybe per your request !
As I said your TSH is normal, so even if the antibodies came back as positive, the right approach with such TSH is to wait and see .

Your TSH can be normal and you can still, have other values that are out of range. When doctors base a diagnosis on TSH results only, that's a red flag that you need to find someone who better understands thyroid tests. Typically a rheumatologist won't treat thyroid issues. You'd need to do some research to find an MD in your area who knows a lot about
the thyroid - too many doctors focus on TSH only. You can find help on local Facebook groups. If you're on FB, there's a group called FTPO - For Thyroid Issues Only. That would be a good place to start.
First you need to get all of your thyroid levels checked - TSH, FT3, FT4, TPOAB and TgAB (at the minimum). After you get those results, and if you have a thyroid issue, then check out Izabella Wentz. She wrote a book on how to find the root cause of thyroid issues. That book helped me find my root cause. She also has a web page. You might also want to check out the web page for HypothyroidMom. Both sites have a bunch of good info.
Best wishes to you!

Thanks MsHippo for that. What's an MD?

You're welcome! MD = medical doctor. He/she doesn't have to be an Enocrinologist to treat thyroid issues.
