Hello everyone.
I was wondering how long does it take for someone who has started getting her thyroid numbers in the normal range to feel..... well, normal?
Like many people on this forum I have a variety of symptoms from fatigue, digestive issues, brain fog, terrible sleeping through the night, muscle and joint aches, etc. I've had my journey through testing and more testing. A high TSH to a normal, but still high TSH but "normal " T3 and T4 levels. Visits to an endo and cardiologist that show everything to be normal. But throughout all the "normal" I still felt terrible.
As of right now I'm taking 75 mcgs of levothyroxine. I tried Nature-throid at one point but didn't respond well, I may try again one day though. Now my energy is better since starting the levo but I still don't feel great. My recent tests came back pretty good, at least for me.
TSH: 2.55 range 0.450-4.50
Free T4: 1.60 Range 0.82-1.77
Free T3: 3.1. Range 2.0-4.4
I've never seen my TSH below 4 and both my T4 and T3 numbers came up a little. I know when I see my doctor again they are going to say my numbers look great. But I'm going to be disappointed I don't feel great like I'm suppose to with numbers like these.
During the early days of my thyroid issues, I remember reading somewhere (might have been here or somewhere else) that it'll take months before people to start to feel better after their numbers "normalize " so to speak. I just wanted to confirm whether that's true for some people.
Apologies for the long post.
