Hi all

Feeling hyper but drs refuse to send me to endo.

Would love to hear your thoughts. Antibodies normal and no goiter in ultrasound.

TSH .71 (ref range .4-4.2)

FreeT3 5.9 (ref range 3.- 6.2)

Free T4 27.2 (ref range 11. - 22)

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Not only that your Free T4 is high your Free T3 is very high in the range and your TSH is a bit low in the range, so no wonder that you feel hyper.

Are you taking any thyroid medications?

TSH goes counter intuitive, so because your Free T3/4 are high your TSH went a little down .

What antibodies have you tested? there are three of them, TGab, antiTPOab and TSIab, if either of the first two is positive then you have hashimoto's disease which can cause both hypo and hyper, and the last one causes Grave's disease which causes only hyper.

Hi thanks for responding. Apparently all antibodies were tested and all ok. No Thyroid meds they just say i have anxiety but i had never suffered from it previously.
I had a swollen sore Thyroid in sept 16 and test results showed my t4 just inside normal range. I had not felt well since then and by january i felt terrible and thats when the anxiety also came into play. Then these results in jan 16. Since then the labs have not re
checked my frees because my TSH is in normal range. Just find this whole thing so frustrating.

If your TSH is low in the range or bellow range then you can still be hyper even with normal Free T3 and Free T4, that is because your thyroid gland is suppressed .

Hyper can cause anxiety, are you a male or a female ? sometimes hypo or hyper occur after giving birth, and it could be transient.

It would be great to consult with an endo, who in turn might give you a small dose of anti thyroid medication like Methimazole.

Hi again.

Im female and funny you should talk about pregnancy as i had post natal depression and had never been depressed prior to that but my thyroid was never checked.

This time around i had just been getting sick a lot flu sinus infections feeling run down thats when i had the swollen thyroid which my dr suspected was thyroditis but my results didnt show that. I am just going to ask for a referral to an endo and see what they say.

My mum is hyperthyroid with all the same symptoms but not diagnosed until they found goiters.
