Should I switch to synthroid?

I have been taking levothyroxine. I am constantly tired, irritable, and have been gaining weight. I think I'm going to try to switch to synthroid. Is this a good idea? Will i experience side effects from switching?

The FDA has stricter rules for name brand Synthroid... It has tighter tolerances for name brand drugs in general... But to me it sounds like you are hypo or not doing your body justice when it comes to sleep, nutrition, exercise, and mental health.

What are your uptodate thyroid lab values?

Dont forget your mental health, smile laugh destress, engage with people :) That has helped me realize part of my thyroid problems were my attitude.
