I've never been on oral pred but I was on steroid enemas for about a year. And I ended up with all the side effects of oral, it just took longer. I was on a short bout of steroid enemas in my last flare and even though I was off the Colocorts for 8 months prior to this recent dose, I was still hit full force with the side effects like I never stopped them. Now I have been off the steroid enemas again for 2 weeks but yesterday I was injected with a steroid in my sacroid joint and I feel like I've never stopped steroids again. Jitters, insomnia etc. But I find that if I use cortesteroids for other things such as my trigger fingers or cysts in my joints that the same thing happens. For anyone who has had to deal with steroids repeatedly, do you think your past steroid use makes you more sensitive to them?
