fistula and fistula-in-ano clarification needed..adult info

do these always cause pain?  can they cause fever?  what are the symptoms?  how dxed?  can vaginal fistula be caused by sex? or worsened by sex?

thanks for the tip.  I don't know if I have one but have odd and never before seen stuff going on.  I am trying to get a better understanding of what might be happening.  Docs shrugging his shoulders with no answers....so other than paging Dr. House, I am going to have to do the detective work

Hi to all if you our suffering with a fistula in ano. I have just had my operation on Thursday 2 days post op. Please to anyone who is worried about it. Don't be I was terrified after reading all different story's on the internet' I can't believe how well I feel. My fistula in ano was caused by medication' I have had it for 2 years and suffered the abcess daily leaking with blood and pus. My CS has layed my open and I have a district nurse come out every day to pack the track. Had no pain passing wind or when I have a bowel movement" every time I read anything about this condition my nerves were bad. So let me reassure anyone go and get yourself seen to and don't be worrying about it. I tried all herbal remedies ghee honey doesn't work don't wast your money. It not going away until you have the operation ? I understand that everyone is different but things will be fine and you will all get over these things and be ok. It's the best thing I have done' I am not in pain like I thought I would be just a bit sore I ant sit down yet but I awl around and lye down.
