Reliv products experience

Sorry, haven't heard of these. I'm hoping a "bump" to the top of the list will get you more responses :)

From what I've read, it's a pyramid-type business...many usually stay away from those type of hyped products by what I read on here.

Is your reason for taking them because of the products, that someone else is wanting you to try them or that you want to sell them eventually?

Thanks for the response.  I have no interest in selling the product.  A friend of mine whose husband has Crohn's swears by the stuff.  I am skeptical.  I am getting a lot of insight into the supplements that UCers find helpful and so far havent' found anyone on that product.  My friend is pushing me to try it......not buy it from her, but I am afraid to add in something that may in fact make matters worse for me.

I considered trying Reliv until I looked at the ingredients and saw that they tend to contain artificial colors and flavors which my body does not handle well. If you're looking for a good nutrition supplement, I'd definitely check out something that contains only natural ingredients. Several people I know switched off of Reliv because they found other products that "worked better".

Turmeric spice is a natural anti-inflammatory, and when I take it in large doses it helps control my UC symptoms just as well as, say, Asacol. I'm not sure what other people's experiences with it have been, but it's kind of a magic bullet for me. I use a brand called "Ortho-Molecular Products", and the turmeric product they sell is called "Traumeric".

Also, Slippery Elm helps me when I am constipated by creating more lubrication in the colon. It also helps to relieve pain during bowel movements, which is sometimes an issue for me.
