Hi All, Gee haven't been on for a while, which was a good thing. It's nice to know you are all here for someone like me in a time of need. Here is what's happening: I had 3 c-scopes in the past 6 months, (no sedation by the way). Anyway, the first one showed alot of polyps. The dr. biopsied several and most were nothing to worry about
. As my GI said, 'everything was benign.' I always get copies of my reports, bloodwork,etc... and when I got the path report, it did show 2 adentemous polyps. I know I didn't spell that right but these are the pre-cancerous ones we need to be concerned with. She then scheduled a 2nd c-scope to remove as many polyps as possible. This was about
a month or two later. Well holy cow, she went in with the scope and came right out. The rectum was so full of sores and mucous, she couldn't find any clean areas and was very concerned. The nurses told my husband and I that it was definately in the top 10 worse cases they've seen. The funny thing was I felt okay so the pics tooks me by surprise. I then went on canasa suppositories and faithfully took my Lialdi. I went back for another very painful c-scope (won't do that again w/out meds!), and she again biopsied several polyps which came back benign. I asked her where the pre-cancerous ones were and she didn't know or believed them to be gone. She said we will keep a close eye on everything. I am not to go back for a year for another scope but to be honest, I am concerned that these will turn cancerous before then.
I have been having alot of painful gas, muscous and the urge to go frequently. The past 2 days the toilet bowl is filled with bright red blood which concerns me. No pain. Physically I feel good which I am glad for. I believe that at this point most of the polyps, disease, etc. are within the first several inches of my rectum. Where does all this gas come from anyway???
I know this is a LONG post, but I wanted to give you as much info as I can. Does anyone have any suggestions? (besides the obvious to call my dr:)
Thanks so, so much and I wish everyone a healthy New Year!!!
