 Just when i started feeling a bit better wham have been hit with this it is a nasty kidney infection have been put on a 2 week course of cefalexin 500mg 3xdaily which could effect u/c sad have a temp of 104 which dr said was very impressive as had been taking co codamol but feel so rough has also signed me of work and are going to do bloods tues for kidney function so all in all not having much fun just wondered if anyone else has had this or am i just unlucky only dx 4wks ago and have just got over Uveitis feel i have a sign over my head saying what next come and get me glad i have you guys though as not fair on family to say how alful you feel most of the time

lambkins, So sorry you are going through this. Don't forget to drink as much water as possible and some cranberry juice might be agood idea too. That should help flush it out maybe. Good luck, I'll keep you in my prayers. You do deserve a break. Hang in there, Bellski

Thank you bellski have been drinking like a fish and having lots of cranberry juice somethings got to work soon

Never had it but I used to get frequent recurrent UTI/bladder infections which is really a pain... and it sucks because you're supposed to drink a LOT to try and flush it out but it hurts to pee!! I haven't had one in a long time, knock on wood, but the last time I did they gave me the wrong anti-biotic and it did NOTHING for it so it almost developed into a kidney infection and I was actually peeing out blood clots, and finally a different doctor realized the other one gave me the wrong drug and fixed the problem quick. Duh.

Good luck! I was told they actually have something in the drug store that you can take, a pill I think, that numbs the urethra somehow so you can actually go to the bathroom without wanting to die. I wish I could remember what it's called but the pharmacist should be able to tell you.

I had that a few years ago. I had been trying out some of my old gymnastic moves (something that's not recommended if you've been out of gymnastics for over 10 years) and the next day I had a sore back. It felt a lot like a relly bad pulled muscle. Then the right side of my abdomen was really sore, but I thought that was just from holding myself so stiff so my back wouldn't hurt. I finally went to the doctor when I had a fever and was so tired I could barely get out of bed. Turned out it was a kidney infection. The pain was the worst I've ever experienced. I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks to clear it up.

Yes hedgehog i second that the pain is so bad that it hurts everywhere you don't want to move like you i waited thinking that it would go away what a fool but hopefully i have the right antibiotics and should be feeling better soon
