Good luck, Bratcat! Congratulations on the first step toward getting your life back! I can't even imagine having UC at your age, and you've been so brave about it, I'm in awe.

I hope the surgery goes smoothly and that your recovery is swift finally relieving you of your suffering. I know it'll be a rough go for a while, but you're one tough cookie with all the right support to help you get through it.

Hi Everyone! Thank you for your warm thoughts and good wishes. It means so much to all of us!

Bratcat is holding up well. As a family, we tend to face things head on, adding humor as much as possible to alleviate some of the stress. Well we all know that as bad a UC is at times, there is enough humor in bodily functions to last a lifetime. So humor has been a good release so far.  Otherwise, we know surgery is coming but it is almost discussed as an outer body experience for the moment.

Bratcat started her prep...the dreaded and dreadful Fleets phospho-soda! So far, this has been the worst leading up to tomorrow!

I will try to stop in as soon as possible after surgery to give you an update. Please keep Bratcat in your prayers. Thank you again for being here!

Aw, Bratcat, I wish you could just look forward to fireworks in the sky on July 4! Definitely thinking of you & wishing you a speedy recovery ... / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.]
