Hi Again Everyone,

I've been doing really well, but I think, unfortunately, I'm starting to get sick again...

This time I'm feeling nautious after eating, and I'm feeling quite warm, in addition to the normal dizziness and tiredness that I tend to feel when a flare comes on. I felt like I could have slept all weekend..

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has this as well, or if it's something else.

I get hot and dizzy when I'm trying to get through bad cramping. I think we're practicing for future hot flashes. ;-) I get really tired during flares, as well; but I think that's because of dehydration.

Well, a lot of my friends had this same sort of bug last week...and of course I got it this weekend. Lots of dizziness, couldn't keep much down, and feverish. Yuck, huh? Yesterday morning ended with the good ole' d, but one thing about the Remicade is that my d doesn't last for too long; it seems like the Remi kicks in to curtail it. I'm sorry you are feeling so bad...I'm hoping it's just this darned bug and not a flare. Take care and hope you are feeling better soon.

Make sure you drink plenty of water during the hot season, especially. It's very important to keep well hydrated when you're taking 5-ASA meds. My gastro even reminded me during office visit last month, while looking at my blood test results with BUN/creatinine level. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC; currently on 3 Colazal daily for maintenance of remission)

I'm having the nausea problem right now and feeling that weird hot/cold flash feeling coupled with a migraine... ugh, and of course i'm at work. I feel really shaky and so weak I can barely even type much less get anything productive done but I have two more hours before i can leave... the flourescent lights are not helping. Took two Midol earlier (all I had on me) but things have only gotten worse. Not sure what the problem is; my intestines are burning too so either it's a bug, a migraine, or good ol uC.

I'm feeling the same way right now. I came to the forum to see if I wasn't alone. I am relieved? that I'm not alone. My guts feel like they're on fire, I'm exhausted, a bit dizzy at times, and I have a headache. I feel a bit better after I eat, but I'm constantly nauseous so I don't want to eat much. Every day it's a new thing. sad

It is really nice to know that I'm not alone in this, like you say.
I do know exactly what ediekristen is saying about work. I put in my 9 hours yesterday and just went home. Unfortunately my job right now is quite demanding - I'm a mechanical engineer, now working over in the UK for a few weeks doing some wind tunnel testing. It's so tough when you really want to do a good job and impress your bosses, and yet you can't focus enough to make it through the day productively. (It's a 45 hour week at the company I'm with, I know, a little strange...)
Wondering if not feeling well is due to all the travel I've done lately - different foods and eating out, etc.
Thanks also for the hydration suggestion. I'll try and pump as much water through me today as I can.

I'd KILL for a 45 hr work week! I'm required to work at least 50 a week. (Got to love hospotality management and being on salary) I have been feeling like my face is really on fire and then I am consintly taking my temp, and it drives my boyfriend CRAZY when I do it. He's always saying, "Well, whats the temp, doc and how long you got to live..." What an a-hole, lol!
