Could that mean I have some sort of yeast imbalance? Or do you think it may be because I am on a lot of meds? White bread tastes moldy to me lately even if it's fresh... thanks to anyone who replies.

Lots of foods taste funny to me when I get thrush, too. Even just plain water! Is bread the only thing tasting funny?

Recently, I've noticed that bread has started to taste sour. I thought it was just some bad meat, but then I had another sandwich that tasted terrible, and the bread was from a completely different loaf. So then I realized it was me. I'm 17, and have a lot of pains that we're still trying to figure out. The only thing we could come up with was thrombocytosis and an iron deficiency, but I think those are under control now. I'm only taking Gabapentin, Iron, Welbutrin, and a bunch of vitamins. I love bread, so..please help.

Is your tongue a whitish color?
Before my tongue turns white I can start tasting that yeasty taste when I eat and my urine has a yeasty smell too.
There are some very good medical treatments out there but you may be able to treat this with diet too....if it is Thrush.

Medications can change the taste perception of foods as well as some vitamin /mineral deficiencies such as zinc, Bs and D.
Have you lately eaten pine nuts?

Been on the same medication for a while. I went to have an MRI of my neck and back yesterday. I guess the doctor was looking for anything unusual? I've broken out again on my face with a burning red rash on my right cheek. It happened again last year around this time, right before all the pains started. One night last year, I stayed up for two whole days because my arm hurt so bad. I went to the E.R. and they told me I shouldn't have been there. Next it was pain in my legs, like muscle pains. It spread to my shoulders. In that year, they've done blood work to check for just about
anything, but they haven't found anything. Lately, I haven't been able to eat much at all (I'm a big girl, this is very unusual for me). Every food I look at makes me sick. And then the bread started tasting weird (don't have thrush).

Can you get in to see an allergist? Maybe that can give you some insight if it's allergy or autoimmune.
What meds and supplements are you taking?
What exactly does your rash look like?

I've been to a rheumatologist, who's run tests for everything he could think of. I've been told the rash looks like lupus, y'know the butterfly rash? I'm taking Gabapentin for nerve damage, Welbutrin for normal teen depression, iron for anemia, vitamin C, B6, B12, and vitamin D once a month. The rheumatologist I see has talked about
Leukemia and Lupus a lot, but both tests came back fine.

I also have the butterfly rash since and was tested for lupus (negative thankfully) but this article sort of points out that in a study people with UC are 65% more likely to develop rosacea. And that chance tripled when one takes steroids. The 3 studies got a little different results due to parameters used, but they all show elevated levels.

I have had great luck treating my rosacea topically with a mix of tea tree oils and extra virgin olive oil (50/50). I did that for two weeks twice a day and it's has calmed way down to almost being nonexistent.
No more "heat" at all, just a rosy glow.

I've always had red cheeks, I've never had rashes. All the symptoms I was having started last year, and this rash showed up before they started. At the beginning of this year, I had little to no symptoms anymore, just arm pains that kept me up every once in a while. But now (same time as last year) this rash is back. I don't know if it's a coincidence or what
