Good morning. I have had ulcerative colitis for 15 years and already been on most medications. I had my first injection of Humira last week. I've been experiencing stomach and back pain past couple of days. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi jcm!
I am in a clinical trial for Humira, and it is a double blind, so I can't say with 100% certainty that I am actually getting the meds, but I believe that I am.
Thus far, I have not experienced bad stomach or back pain as a result of my injections, but I think the effects can be different for everyone. I would be sure to let your GI know how you are feeling.

Thank you Laura. I went to my GI today. He thinks is general soreness from the injections. We'll see.

I've been on Humira since 1/01/08 and have never had any pain.

I'm due for my second injection on Wednesday. Although the stomach pain is beginning to subside, the bleeding has resumed... Is this normal?

I was told by my GI that it would take a couple of months before I see any real results.
