I have seen a few threads lately about
the active form of turmeric, which is curcumin. The research article that pb4 posted about
basically confirms my nearly 2 years of remission, (thanks pb4). I had tried turmeric/curcumin pills with only minimal success, but still needed my big doses of prednisone to maintain any relief. I drank Haldi initially because I was searching for anything to give me relief, later coming to the understanding that it contains curcumin in an absorbable or more active form. Understanding some of the science behind it was great, but the bottom line was I have been able to stay off prednisone, go back to eating a larger variety of foods, and get my life back, all by drinking this little bottle of Haldi daily. I try not to recommend things because we UCers are so individual, but I think a large majority of IBD sufferers can feel better as I have. pb4, if you see any more articles, let us know, thanks,
