 anyone out there noticed any sexual side effect from Prednisone?  I just started on 30 mg/day after a year long stint with steroid free remission and all of a sudden I dont feel like getting it on.  Maybe its the sickness in general but Prednisone can be a wicked drug.  The only major side effects I get usually are insomnia and full-fledged food obsession, (which is SO convenient when anything I eat makes me sick!)  Anyway just want to see if Im alone on this... :-)

I wanted to have sex all day every day while I was on Prednisone. My husband loved it!

I also had a huge INCREASE in urge while on entocort.

My libido went away as well when I was on pred. I don't think the moon face and inflated spare tire helped at all. Very interesting that such different reactions occur! Some wanna get it on - some could go without...

The general malaise and general grossness associated with UC could be contributing...Prednisone messes with me on very deep levels though, changes my mood entirely sometimes...not fair that sex should be disrupted though.  What else do I have to live for when I cant eat anything good or go out drinkin' like the rest of my 'normal' friends??? wink
