Toilet paper and gas

ANyone else spend about as much money on toilet paper as they do on gas?

I swear I am filling up my hallway closet faster than my tank in my truck. I don't even get the expensive stuff. Just the strong thick stuff (I hate charmin and other "dusty" TPs)

Anyway, just thought it would be fun to see what everyone thinks about their TP expenditures.

Yep, I'm buying TP at least twice as often as I used to. There's a tower in our pantry. I'll probably be buying the stuff at Costco next and devoting a whole room to it.

I have to buy the good stuff, no bulk TP for me.  It's not soft enough!  There are days when I go through a roll a day.

It's funny to see how many empty TP rolls are in my bathroom trashcan. Between my boyfriend and I, we go through a ridiculous amount of toilet paper.

i buy baby wipes from kroger, talk about even more expensive! But i have a reoccurring fissure and toilet paper is just too rough on me. But yes bulk is a good friend

If I ever build a house, or even simply remodel my bathroom in my current house, I will install a bidet.

How funny the title of this thread is! When I first read it I thought someone was asking if there was a correlation between toilet paper and passing gas! tongue I figured this is such a strange disease that affects everyone differently so anything is possible.

We always buy in bulk but we are a family of 5. The extra toilet paper rolls came in handy last year for Bratcat's Girl Scout gold award. She made (and got other troops to make) monthly crafts to put in the bags for a Meals of Wheels program in the area. In total they made close to 300 turkey napkin holders for Thanksgiving. And that was just one month's craft. I don't remember if each holder needed one or two empty rolls but at least we were able to contribute!

You could see if any groups (Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, schools) need any empty rolls. I have seen people give them away on Craigslist and on Yahoo!Freecycle. Who knew there would be another upside to IBDs.

Its funny I just saw this topic because I just got back from vacation a week ago and experinced a mild flare up then...I had just bought some cheap toilet paper to take with us as we rented a house where we had to take all that stuff...I ate a greasy hamburger one afternoon and later that night I paid dearly for it...All we had was a four pack of cheap toilet paper that probably only has 100 sheets on it...Needless to say, all that evening I had to keep going back and forth to the bathroom and almost all of our TP was gone...That was only the second day we were there and still had 5 more days to go...Thank goodness I didn't have any more problems after that...Yes, there was a small grocery store down the road but we were on an island and it would probably cost 5 dollars for one roll of TP... But I found it amazing that I could go through that much TP in one evening!!!

Yes! I go through so much toilet paper these days. We go through a lot at work too and one of my co-workers said something like "we're out of toilet paper again already?" the other day when I told her we were out (she's the one who buys it, and she never notices when we're running low or even when we're completely out so I always have to tell her). I know I probably use a lot of it, but oh well.
