Kinda Gross, but not sure what to do

about 2-3 weeks ago I had a painful Hemorrhoid form just on the outside of my bum. After about a week, it stopped hurting. However it hasn't gone away. Obviously I cant see it. I'm sure I could if I looked in a mirror. However it feels like a little balloon the size of the tip of my index finger.

Should I leave it alone? Should I try to pop it? Should I call my doctor?

Leave it alone, I think. I have had one for ages and it hasn't mattered, I think it's now a skin flap? My doc said and I have no doubt that removal would not be worth the discomfort that would cause.

Gosh, DON'T POP IT, use hemmie ointment and if it doesn't go away or it gets worse get in to see your doc.

i have one from my last flare from the 10-15 a day bathroom visits...i just used the prep. H suppositories and the pain went away and it has gotten smaller...it's still there a little bit though. my doc said if it isn't bothering me it isn't a problem. if it's bothering you though maybe ask your doc what you can do.

the last one i had was huge. i used the flushable wipes for when bathroom trips because they are less irritating. i would also put a cold wash cloth on it a few times a day to sooth it. it went away after a few weeks.

try sitting on an ice pack, that works wonders for me.
