inflammation sed rate of 35

Has anyone else had this Ive been swelling for about 6 months started in feet now edema in legs. Gained close to 20 pounds and dr thought it may be from my bp med so she has switched off and on. Now she did that sed rate test and it was elevated so not sure whats going on but my feet and legs hurt at times and calfs get really tight throughout the day . I dont have much joint pain but my right hand has been hurting little bit and I have swelling now in the second knuckle. Anyone else had these symptons

Don't wait, have your kidneys checked out ASAP!! I really hope you take this into consideration and rule out any kidney trouble.

I don't have any of those symptoms but my sed rate was checked yesterday and it was 38 but I am flaring also.

Are you on steroid meds for UC in addition to bp meds? Steroids can affect just about every organ/process in one's body-- so it can certainly cause bp changes, too. Your sed rate will vary depending on the level of inflammation present in your body. If you're having a major UC flare, it can cause joint pain & stiffness + various types of skin irritation, too. I hope your doctor will take the edema seriously & monitor your situation 'til it comes under control. If you don't get helpful explanations, you may need to pursue a 2nd opinion from another doctor. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])

Thanks all for the information. I do go to a rhematologist at the end of this month I cant wait to see what he tells me. they did all sorts of lab work. Im pretty sure my kidneys was one of them and it was ok. Im not on steroids or anything like that . I just wish they could dx me . My right hand is swollen little also and edema just stays. I just dont think it is normal hopefully Ill find something out at rheumatiologist.
