LIALDA

HEY I have just had my second flex sig and have moderate uc , i was taking colozal was working for about 6 months then stopped was prescribed lialda and generic rowasa lialda has been working very well and its only been a week and a half so people have hope.  i think the trick is using lialda with the rowasa and it seem to be a tag team on the uc mind you i only have moderate uc in the rectum i am 25 yr old male have had uc for a year

aloe vera gel 8 oz a day

lovaza perscription omega 3(highly reccomend) 2x a day 900mg each

multivitamin 1x a day

nautures way super probiotic 35 billion in each pill (also highly recomend for the price and the amount on bacteria in each i take one a week)

4 lialdas a day in the morning-alot better then 9 colozals

I was on colozal for the last couple months... My doc switched me to lialda two days agao. not sure if it was a coincidence or not... but first day on it... symptoms are gone. Almost total remission except for consistency of bm's... they are still loose. But no urgency.. 2 bathroom trips in mornign and done. life has been great last two days. I also have been doing spinach diet for almost a month so maybe that finally kicked in... had been getting progressively better with that diet ( thanks cfromutah ) also had been living gluten free for almost 40 days, not sure what worked or if it was a combo... but hey. I love it.

I have been on Lialda now for almost 2 weeks. I have been in a flare that I couldn't get under control using Rowasa and Canasa only, so my Dr. prescribed me Lialda. It took a little over a week to kick in, but for the last 2 days.. I've had NORMAL poopies!!!! I almost forgot what normal poopies were like.. lol.. Also, I was flaring so badly I had nausea almost every day and blood and mucus everytime I went... Argh... I also think the key is using Rowasa and Lialda together... I haven't felt this good in a few months.. I take 4 pills a day, 2 pills 2 times a day.

It's working for me nicely and I've had NO side effects from it at all.. (knock on wood)... :)
