really having a bad day

yesturday i found out that i lost my job. i have a house to pay and bills and credit cards! yesturday i was stressing alot and this morning when i went to the bathroom it wasnt too pretty. no blood or mucus but it was just not pretty there was even undigested food. how do you guys make yourself calm down when your stressing?

I was in the same situation. I had to leave the reserves after 15 years due to my UC, then I lost my job due to cut backs. I took another job and was let go because they said they over hired for the position, then my wife left me. I stressed so much that the only thing coming out of me during a BM was blood. I lost everything, house, wife, credit and I didn't have a job. I hit rock bottom, total depression! I now work at a local hospital. I have been at the hospital six months and I have managed to avoid the first lay-offs.
I no longer have any stress at all, because I have been through what I thought was the end of the world as I knew it.
The only thing I can tell you is that you are not alone. My friends who were laid off with me still call and they are still clinging to hope and trying to save their houses and their marriages. It is difficult for me to listen to them, because I know that they are hoping, that in some way, that I'll be able to give them some helpful advise. I don't blame them, I did the same thing and still lost everything.
I am now happy and stress free. If I get laid-off again, then I will take it in stride. You are 23 and you will recover from all this, you have plenty of time. Believe me, you are not the only one going through this kind of situation. It took me watching empoyees in their fifties and sixties getting laid off to help me to understand that atleast I have youth on my side.

Please do not worry. I am sorry to hear about your lay off. However, we have all faced such situations. Infact, qusam has faced problems exactly similar to me. I lost everything, my legal practice, my office, my wife separated, all the finances and every damm thing, besides the mounting medical expenses and ill  health. Well God has been kind, I have my elderly parents who still support me in whatever manner they can. I meditate a lot. It really helps. Do deep breathing. World never comes to an end.

I have had many losses in the last few years too; and my boyfriend who is 55 lost his job back in October with nothing out there. I've finally figured out that....what will be will be. I only have control over certain things, and most of all, my thoughts and feelings. Only I can make my self miserable or happy. So although it's not easy sometimes, I try to think of the positive. Have you ever noticed that every year the trees lose all their leaves....then in the spring they come back full force. Flowers reappear without any stress, it just happens. Birds build their nests for their babies. I try to look at nature when I'm feeling on the stressed side and remember that everything happens for a reason. Take care, and hey, we are all in this together. It will take a village to get things back on track.

So sorry to hear about these worries.

I hope you can find ways to take good care of yourself while you get through this. Know that everything will work out, it always does, and sometimes for the best!

I like to treat myself to bubble baths, or walks (short ones, round and round to stay near a bathroom, if necessary). Take advantage of the forced break from work by accomplishing some tasks around the house, like painting or home repairs, or spending a little more time exercising to get your body stronger than ever. That always made me feel better when I was between jobs, and keeps the anxiety level down.

Take charge and try to arrange for your expenses to be minimized, such as asking for a month or so of forgiveness on the payments for house or credit cards, to give yourself time to find a new job.

thanks you guys!! im feeling a little better. ive been in remission for a while now i just hope its not gonna come back. i only had a bit of diareah this morning and no urgency at all today except a bit of gas. maybe ill feel better tomorow! i just have to tell myself everything will be alright and i will find a new job! money will be tight for a while. thank god my boyfriend works forthe government! but i knwo ill find something else. thanks for making me feel better!!!
