Hi Elaine, I started a new topic - didn't want to highjack the other one. Another option for enemas is a 2% lidocaine (or xylocaine) jelly. The Salofalk enemas started causing more bleeding for me and the steroid ones weren't working for me at that time. I noticed differences within a couple of days of using the the xylocaine enemas. I used them nightly for 2 months and my remission has lasted 1.5 years so far. I use budesonide enemas every 4 days for maintenance now.
