Flu/Cold

I have some sort of sickness, either a flu or a cold. My colitis is now worse than it has ever been. Has anyone else noted significantly worse symptoms while being sick?

Normally not for me, but this past Fall I was sick 3 times with a cold. I did start to flare at Christmas....I was also taking Cold FX for a long while, plus the Christmas stress...so, I'll assume it's the combo...but it's been yo-yoing from tapering the Salofalk too fast. So, I'm sitting tight on nightly rectal 5ASA for the time being.

You are only on Canasa...you should, however, be on more meds to get your flare under control as to not get worse.

Hope your cold/flu improves quickly...this is a season for many going around.

I seem to have a little more trouble every time I'm fighting a cold. I think its my immune system turning on and while its at it, it strikes the colon too. I am still getting better overall. I am hoping that it will dissipate over time.
