I am sick and fell like crap. No CU flare (in remission on asacols). Are normal aspirins okay to eat?
I know there are sorts that are not okay, but normal aspirins?

Aspirin is not recommended at all for us. Try Tylenol instead. It will reduce your fever and is just as good for aches and pains, but takes a bit longer to take effect.
Feel better soon.

You really should avoid taking any NSAIDs because it can often promote bleeding in the GI tract (aspirin, advil, aleve, ect).

I take aspirin with the OK of my GI....but I don't recommend it to others.
Tylenol works good for aches and pains of the body and headaches that are fever related. At least for me, it works better than aspirin.
I only take aspirin for headaches that Tylenol don't touch.
I've promised my GI that I won't use ibuprophen or naproxen....
hope you feel better soon...

Yeah, you shouldn't take ibuprophen either, unfortunately.
Or Aleve, although I admit to taking it now and then when my back hurts or I have cramps because it is the only thing besides an Rx painkiller that will work.

Try taking painkillers with cafeine. That's generally what the 'strong' or 'rapid' type of painkillers have with the normal ones to make them work faster or stronger
