pregnant and flaring

hi...I am 5 months pregnant and have been having a slight flare lately. Not really a normal flare but still having some blood, cramping and mucuos. the doctor put me on canasa supp..about a month ago and it did help for awhile but now its coming back. Has anyone else been pregnant and flared?? What did the doctor recommend?? Did everything turn out okay with the baby?? I am doing my best not to stress and get to nervous over this because i don't want the baby to be affected...thanks for any info or advice!

Yup...i stayed on the 6mp and asacol. They were afraid that i would have a even bigger flare if i came off of it. So far so good. I see a high risk ob/gi and they check my liver blood work alot. I just actually saw her and im going to start on steroid enemas first to see if that helps before starting on the prednisone. Thanks for the reply.

I started flaring about 5 mos. into my pregnancy (right around the big ultrasound) they tried to treat it with cortifoam, canasa, entocort, until after 2 mos the doctor finally settled on 20 mg. taper of pred.  the flare got under control in June (it started in April) the pred defiinitely helped.  The only side effect I had was gestational diabetes.  I had a healthy baby girl in August.  I was really nervous too the entire time, but everything turned out great. Good luck with everything!
