Well, my GI just droppd off the 60 das worth of Canasa he said he would. These are free to me for 60 days use. He told me to take 1 in the am and 1 at nigt. Since I went back to Asacol from generic Colazal, I am much better. I don't feel tired, my BM's are formed more than they were. I am so glad I'm bck on Asacol. I a alo glad that my GI trully cares about his patints

     You do have a great GI doctor.  My doc gives me samples too.  Canasa is quite expensive.

It's great when your GI takes care of you like that.  Mine does the free sample thing for me too. I haven't paid for colazal in years!

Don't you just love when you have a doctor that is so fabulous? How sweet that he was willing to bring them to you!

A week or two ago when my 10 year old's UC was getting worse and we were going into the weekend, the doctor gave me her home phone number in case I needed anything over the weekend, then she called that Monday to check on my daughter!! The doctor is over 70 and I just don't know what I'll do when she retires.

Hang on to your doctor, he sounds like a keeper!!

Thankfully I have a great GI too...He takes time with me and really cares about how I am doing?Like most people, I don't like to go to the dr, but if I had to choose I had rather see my GI than any other...Its good to have a dr. that listens and cares for your needs, not just caring about making a dollar...Definatley hang on to the one you have, he does sound like a keeper...

Hi Sodbuster,

I know you live near Syracuse.  Where is your gastro doctor?  Some of the best are in Syracuse - have you had experience with them?  Anyway, I live North of Syracuse and go to Oneida to doctor.  He is great but when stumped on what to do next he sent me to an Albany specialsit and his recommendations seem to be working for now anyway.
