In a bush? Because today, at 6 somethng in the morning, with all the stores around me closed, that was my only choice.
Either that or my only pair of pants.

Yep........I went in the woods near a bush while I was putting up a tent for camping. But I imagine that is a bit different then what you had to endure! :)

I was right by a major street; thank god the bushes were thick, although from the scratches and bumps, I'm guessing my skin wasn't thanking me for that dive... :)
It was very humiliating, actually. Kind of ruined my day.

I haven't gone in bushes yet. I have gone in my pants. Sorry to hear that you had to do that. It sux, I know. There are many people on this board that have many stories like this that make me feel better that we are not the only ones that do this. I remember one time where I had to go super duper bad. I managed to hold it in for a while. I swear to god I think my ass can crack coconuts by now with all of the sphincter tightening. Anyway, I managed to get closer and closer to my house and it got worse and worse. I got to my friggin door and lost it there. I was like how the &*$*$*$ did I make it an hour to actually drop the package at my front door. I mean, CMON!! It gives my friends laughs when I tell them the story. I think the next time I am just going to fill my truck up with sand like a giant litter box. Stay well, and try not to get too discouraged.

I have gone in the bushes AND my pants! AND - nearly everyplace else. NO - UC is not fun but neither are a lot of other diseases and conditions people live with. My husband is living with lung cancer and doing well (but chemo was not fun), my friend has MS and three lively kids to take care of. WE are not alone - and "going" where you have to is part of what we live with!!

Yeah, everytime I get bummed, I play the "Well, it could be worse..." game. That always helps.

I've been camping during a flare. I normally get more peace while camping but it is not fun getting that peace so often! And sleeping is not easy either!

What bush (or dumpster, store, car, etc) haven't I gone behind, is more like it! If there is any chance I can do my business outside rather than in my pants, I'll jump right out & go. I've even pulled over my car,
opened the passenger side front & rear doors to make a little shelter, & gone right there between the 2 doors! And of course, I've also gone in my pants. It can ruin your day, it used to for me. Now I just laugh about
it, grab my trusty car kit (ziplock bags, baby wipes, clean undies, extra pants) & go clean up ASAP.

Question - doesn't anyone ever get "caught"?? I've done the "what if I had to go right now" game as I've walked to the store or wherever, and I can't imagine no one seeing me if I had to run behind a bush on the street. Or, I remember someone saying they've gone in their neighbour's back yard.... did they not see you??? With my luck, their flood lights would come on right while I'm the middle and a big crowd would come out and stare. Ugh.

I have used the bushes often but I live near a small ranch in the middle of my town that my family owns so when I exercise or camp I use the ranch. I think walks help regulate my bowel movements. One thing that I find kind of funny is that when it hits you DON'T run. Running always seems to make things more and more urgent. The worst pants pooping experience I had was when I was out on a date and it hit me and gave me no time to find the toilet. The poor woman thought that she had scared me away. I hope she didn't see my messy pants......I still cannot call her. One thing I have learned is that if you are caught out in the
open (like the bushes) or with messy pants is to just smile and wave to any one passing by. You can't help it so there is no reason to not be happy that the attack is over!!! YAY!!!

...and THIS is why I carry baby wipes and extra underpants in my purse at all times! You poor thing. It does kind of ruin your day, doesn't it? My last big public accident was on my birthday and it just ruined my whole day.

I also carry emergency supplies because we never know whats going to happen when we are dealing with this disease. Had my embarassing moments such as having to go in my pants. I'm not letting such things get the better of me anymore, or trying to anyway. Hope your day gets better Imagine, and that you feel better soon!

I haven't but I honestly considered it this weekend. We were at a get together at a small cabin on a lake with 1 bathroom and 50 plus people. I had my exit strategy and spot all picked out but luckily the bathroom was actually
open when I needed it.

I have gone in the forest off a hiking trail and ended up using poison ivy leaves as TP- the next couple weeks were not fun (I didn't know about
my awful mistake for about
72 hours though while the toxins incubated!)- I can laugh about
it now though, lol.

Gone pretty much everywhere. Worst is sitting in county jail (dont ask) around 20 guys in a cell and having to go every 10mins. Not fun at all.. Ive had the pleasure of stopping by plenty of gas stations where the restrooms are conveniently out of order and ofcourse leaving to try to find another place just ups the anxiety and makes you want to go even more.

I volunteer at the zoo as well, and its a commute (bus, lightrail, bus again) to get there. This is also done early in the morning. I remember a couple of summers ago that I was riding my bike and needed to go BAD, but the gym I stopped by wouldn't let me go because the bathroom was "members only" (beyotches!). I stopped at ten places before I finally stopped at an office and begged them to go. Luckily they were nice and let me...
Well, today I was in the same situation. (No, I didn't stop at the gym). I went straight to the office, walked past the (empty) security desk, and came to the restroom, which was being cleaned. The janitor pointed me to the second floor bathroom, I raced up the stairs and...relief!
But that wasn't the end. While cleaning the orangutans' sleeping quarters with a hose, I suddenly had to go (and surprisingly not number one). I really like the keeper who I was volunteering under and there was no way I was about
to just lose it in front of him, so I ran and asked him if I could go. He said yes, I ran past the gibbons, jumped a fence, and made it to the bathroom just in time.
Why is it that every time you have to go, you have to go NOW? :)
(I'll have to look into carrying an extra pair of pants and undies with me, good idea)
