I thought this was a interesting article I found. It kinda goes against the sunflower diet along with other things that a few people have tried out before.

in the book The New Eating Right for a Bad Gut, by James Scala, he talks about how damaging the Omega 6's are- found in linoleic acid. I really enjoyed the book & found it to be well-written, informative, etc. I also liked the article above- thanks!

I definitely need to pick up some books from barnes & noble and start reading. Its definitely on my to do list this weekend. Could you possibly recommend any books?

well, the book I mentioned is very good- clear, concise, pretty sciency but easy to understand for the layman. I also picked up a recipe book, What to Eat with IBD, by Tracie Dalessandro. She's a registered dietician with Crohns. Neither of these 2 are diet books, per se, but I can tell you that while I was badly flaring I basically ate nothing but what was in the recipe book, What to Eat with IBD. And was able to digest the foods fine, no bathroom issues, etc. I've since eased up on using it, as I'm doing alright these days. But both of those are great reads! A must have for any IBD friendly kitchen.

"The Omega Diet" by Simopoulos and Robinson is a good one. Easy to read, a good deal of information and even a few recipes thrown in for good measure (many of which I use). It is because of this book that I didn't find the link you posted to be the least bit surprising. It is also why I use a lot of fish, flax, olive, and high oleic safflower oils in my diet.
