about 2-3 months ago I noticed my bowels became very small and thin. about the same time I experienced lower back pain on the side where the obstruction is. I did not think much about the size of my bowel because it was at this time that I started to drink an herbal tea that my acupuncturist gave to me plus there was still no noticeable blood and urgency. The lower back pain I just attributed to the fact that I was working out more intensely because I was feeling better. I have been in a flare for the past 5 years and I do think that I had significant scar tissue before I decided to stop all medication. However I have a colonoscopy every two years and two years ago these stricture were not there. Currently I just don't know what to think and I just don't know how this could have crept up on my like this.
Thanks for your response JingleBell. I really appreciate it. The last time I had a colonoscopy done, my GI said my recovery was remarkable. My poo also looks great, not thin or small or anything like that. It's been three years though; so I think I'll make an appointment for another colonoscopy just to make sure everything is okay. I have no idea what the scar tissue looks like. I don't think there is much though.
