Having UC, and all the bad things associated with it,  there are probably many different things that happen (or don't) to all of us that make it seem like, YES!,  today's a good day, happiness is.....

Getting colonoscopy results that show no active disease.

Eating Mexican food.

Having the energy to complete a simple workout for an hour or so.

Sleeping in
Shopping alone but knowing I can come home a family
Losing a pound or more
When my son smiles at me
Getting my eyebrows waxed (ouch!)
Having a clean house
Having a job
Being in remission
Sometimes forgetting that I have UC
Having energy
Feeling attractive

Mexican food, oh my...went to a mexican restaurant last weekend, sorry to say I had a taco salad instead of the  burritos, enchilades, chiles, refried beans etc, I used to enjoy.. a plate full of chips and hot salsa,  to me, would be happiness

Happiness is ONLY having UC - there are so many more serious diseases and conditions I could have!

I agree with kops. I thank god everyday that I don't have crohn's...

Happiness to me is...
Being an auntie
The beach
Being in remission
Getting an mani/pedi
Knowing that someday I WILL finish school
Walking out of the mall with a coach shopping bag in my hand tongue

Chillin' out and listening to RHCP lol
Cuddling, kisses, love
Having my baby (my cat) with me
Learning fun/useful new things and passing math (like the math thing will ever happen)
Eating veggies I grew
Soooo much more to list!

Happiness is...wanting for nothing because I have everything I need; health, good family and friends, a great job...and a most incredible husband. Oh, and two very sweet dogs!

And I forgot to chime in on the Coach purse love. There's a Coach outlet here in town...I have to make myself stay out of there! I currently have two, and have decided I need a third one now that I have a mini laptop for work. I need a sweet purse that it'll fit in, and the two purses I currently have are both too small! Good thing my birthday is coming up!

Ugh, there is an outlet on my drive back to school and it takes everything I have not to stop! I think I have 11 purses (including my moms)....I never EVER pay full price for them though so I'm not as ashamed as I could be! smilewinkgrin

Oh, I LOVE Mexican food, too. I eat it and the only way I pay for it is on the scale...luckily it does NOTHING to my UC.
My fun 5 year old (and her softball, ballet lessons, girl scout meetings, etc)
My loving husband
My FAT cat sleeping on my stomach
being able to go for a great 5 or 6 mile run with no bathroom stops

A golf course with restrooms..that's a beautiful thing, I actually carry a roll of TP in my golf bag just in case I have to run into the woods...hasn't happened yet!
