I think the cramping is occuring right at the end of the colon and like I said it only happens during and after the morning BM. Does that sound like a spasm? I can certainly give an antispasmodic a try. I generally have a yogurt for breakfast with a couple of waffles. However, I usually have my morning BM before breakfast. I was on 12 asacol a day and I am now on 9 colazal. I have been taking the meds at 6am, 3pm, and 10pm. If it is gas, do you think something like GasX would help.
I am supposed to wait 1.5 more weeks to adjust to the colazal and then start tapering the cortenemas (starting with every other night). The GI says if I get at all symptomatic he wants to put me on remicade. This seems a little agressive to me. Right now my onl symptom is the cramp, which did seem a bit better today. When I flare I usually have 1-2 extra bowel movements and see a bit of blood. I not sure remicade is the route I want to go down at this point. What do you guys think? Thank yoi
