Really impressive! So, does it keep you in remission? Let me say again, I am so excited about

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a pretty low risk thing to try. I'm off to buy some tomorrow in the hope of healing what feels like the start of a flare.

It has you taking it with mesalamine...is that a 5ASA? I can't take those...wonder how it works with Imuran

Mesalamine is a 5ASA. They probably just kept the patients on mesalamine so that even those in the placebo group would be receiving some sort of medication. Unless there is some negative reaction between NAC and imuran, I'm sure it would be fine.

I did a search on NAC and it looks like it's an amino acid that supports the immune system and is also an antioxidant. So basically it's a supplement I'm thinking you can find at health food stores.
The results of that study look promising, I might give that a go after I up my probiotics. I don't like to start too many new things at once...then you don't know what helping.
