Tailbone tenderness

I have been experiencing tailbone tenderness for a few months now. I have never had any injuries to my tailbone. I woke up one morning and there it was. I mentioned it to my family doc and she said she has never heard of having tailbone pain with UC. Anyone else experience this?

I want to say someone has posted this before but I can't remember.

Is it your actual tailbone or just the area? Does it hurt more when you bend to sit down or stand up? On the tailbone is a little "tail" left over from years of evolution. When I was younger I had severe pain in my tailbone and my dr told me it was a cyst right at the tip of that "tail" piece.

I had tailbone pain, not when I was flaring, but when I was coming out of the flare and taking Asacol. Plus, it was right after my colonoscopy... so who knows what was the culprit.
