Imeadiatly start stressing when something different happens with your bowl movement?

I have be doing really good.  I firm BM a day in the morning for the last month.  Today after lunch I had an urgency and then a BM that was mud...So now I wonder if it's the start of something..I wonder how many times that happens before I should call the Dr...

I supose eventually I will learn these things when I been through the cycle a few times but since this is my first remission I just don't know...

I always give it about a day and see what happens tomorrow. If you're still having loose stools and/or see blood, then give your GI doc a call.

Also, from my experience, no two flares are exactly the same. So you might be having certain symptoms of a flare right now. And the next time you flare the symptoms may be a little different. Unfortunately, I think there is no one certain answer for how to tell if you are beginning to flare.

I used to but not anymore. Im to the point where I can see blood and not really worry about it. My flares can be anxiety or stress induced so I try to keep a carefree attitude as best as I can. Stay positive =)

Good god no...Haven't had one of those in 12 years thank god.  

So far I have been lucky and neve had any real visiable blood.  It showed up on a fecal accult, but it wasn't visable. Then again untill I got a diagnosis I didn't really look at my poo. 

Nothing else happened yesterday and so far today is normal.  But while I ws having the attack yesterday, I started to panic that the flare was coming back.

My old GI used to tell me not to panic but to "look for the trend." He used to point out that even "normal" people have the occasional loose stool or a day of going several times, depending on what they ate. So, though my instinct is to freak at an abnormal poop, I really try to follow his advice. If it happens for 3 days in a row I begin to count it as a reason to call the Dr.

Absolutely, people who don't have UC have wonky poos. Mine are up and down sometimes depending on what I eat.

Regarding occult blood...when was your last c-scope?

Are you on any fibre supplements as well?

I usually go with "It must been sumthin I ate." until a pattern develops.

There is a one-to-one correlation between the consistency of my poo and what I ate. If I start wavering from my non-flare diet, my poo starts getting loose.

I just went back to cutting out sweets from my diet.

I didn't go poo this morning before leaving the house. My body actually made it through the whole day without even getting the urge to go. I had one poo when I came home at 9:00PM. Wow. That hasn't happened since before I got my second flare.

I had a scope in july. I go back next month to meet with him on the change to asacol. I did forget one dose this week.

I do usually drink a fiber drink most days, but my diet has atleast 25 to 30 grams of fiber every day. Something is off but I don't know what. I am keeping a diary so I can look for patterns.
