Pred 6mp and sweating

Hi i am tapering pred now down to 20mg also on 6mp my WBC is still going up not down and is in fact high at the momemt i seem to get very hot and sweat an alfall lot end up looking like a wet tomato is this a side effect or is pred just masking an infection somewhere i also get very out of breath when doing things and have no energy not sleeping does not help bms have improved so thats one good thing am seeig GI end of oct any one else get this have only been on 6mp 4 weeks

Hi i've been on pred-started at 40 mg[early summer],now down to 15mg.Started 50mg of 6mp-9 weeks ago,increased to 75mg 5 weeks ago.I have no sweats.I've had colitis since 1985,this is the first major flare for me.I'm going to two different support groups and i check this forum everyday, i try to take a little bit of info from each source and hope it works for me,because i'm realizing that what side effects or what works for me might not work for others.I have had some side effects from the meds,some acne,retaining water etc. GOOD LUCK

Hi

I have just reduced to 20mg .... when I was on 40-30 I was hot and sweating it was not nice. I too got out of breath and have like a burning up my legs .. I think that may be iron? I have been drinking juices made at home.... 2 carrots 2 cellery 1 handful of spinach .... gives you wind but replaced nutrients lost through pooping so much !

hope the symptoms subside soon x

Hi, I'm currently on 10mg prednisone and 75mg 6-mp. I am always hot and sweating. I am actually happy it's fall now because I can get some relief! The summer was brutal for me. I feel like this whole sweating thing started after I was on prednisone for awhile. Not sure why it happens, maybe all my hormones are messed up from the drugs but you're definitely not alone!

     Presently I am on 50mgm of 6MP.  When the doctor had me at 100mgm I wasn't sweaty but I just felt lousy.  Not only that, my white count had gone down to 1.6, much too low.  My white count is now holding at 3.5 and I feel 100% better.
