sores in throat?

Does this ever happen to anyone else? I have had it happen for years out of the blue. Sometimes before I have UC issues, sometimes just the sores in my throat.

I had them in my mouth along both my cheeks. It seems to be a precursor to a flare up.
They eventually go away, but sometimes they hurt like crazy.

Mickey, I have read some more of your posts. This my opinion only!!! I would start pressing
your doctor for some better treatment or find a new one. I was fortunate enough to be
referred to a knowledgeable GI by my PCP. 2 years without some sort of relief seems a
little off to me. Shoot me an e-mail if you would like to talk some more.

My symptoms began with chronic canker sores. Had them for 2 years before diagnosing CD. I would have 2-15 at any given time. They would heal in 2 weeks and then return. I even had a colonoscopy during that time that was normal. A year later my colonoscopy was drastically different, as was my life!

Sores in the mouth are one thing (since it can be related to either CD or UC) but I'm sorry, sores in the throat would not be UC, UC is limited to the colon/rectom, CD can affect the entire GI tract from mouth to anus (sores in the mouth like canker sores can even happen to those without an IBD and for those that do have IBD it's considered an extra intestinal manifestation) sores in the throat would not be from UC but rather CD...maybe you need to see another doc for a second opinion.
