After two months of being a shut-in to a large extent because of this stupid disease, I went out socially last night (I've been back at work for a week and was going to work most days before the hospitalization for two weeks, but NO social life at all).
Before this flare, I was very active--swing dancing every weekend, studying for my second degree black belt in taekwondo, yoga in the mornings, often hiking on Sundays--and the lack of activity has been killing me. I resumed yoga last week (it helps reduce my symptoms a LOT), but I've been too weak to do much else.
Last night I got to dance with my fiance! I danced a few other dances as well, of course. I couldn't do any of the fast songs I usually love, but hey, I stayed out for three hours and had a great time. Even got to get dressed up and see my friends from the swing dance club who I hadn't seen since they visited me in the hospital.
My hope for true recovery has been renewed. Thanks to everyone who's been giving me advice and support on this forum through this ordeal. I hope we all find relief and can resume our real lives again soon!
