hey there,
I have to say that I had a similar experience as the original poster, but with hospital stays and pain and bleeding and constant diarrhea and embarrassment in-between. I was prescribed Asacol which didn't work for me but my doctor said to keep taking it. I stopped because I had no health insurance and I have tried special diets for a few years, which didn't work. I was in the hospital recently for six days with severe pain and inflammation and was given antibiotics as well as morphine and again was given Asacol. When I got out I was as weak as I ever could be, with all the same symptoms sans severe pain, and could think of no way of ever returning to work. On a whim I took about
seven expired probiotic pills I had in my fridge that my mom put in there for me and miraculously, it worked. I was functioning and getting better. I started using a different brand (which worked by the way for the same symptoms, but for a different person) but they didn't work at all for me and my symptoms slowly but surely returned so I went back to the original and I am as happy and blessed as can be! In case anyone is interested I use Ultimate Flora Critical Care 50 billion and I do use multiple pills at once; Dr. Ohirra's probiotics didn't work well for me but did work for an older man in his late 40's, a relative of mine.
