I take Lialda. Doc just upped me to 2 per day due to a mild flare. Initially (my 1st flare) it seemed to act quickly, albeit I was in a flare for over 2 months at that time. Now it appears to be taking longer, but things are improving slowly and steadily with an occasional bad moment here and there.
No side effects for me at all. As far as how effective it has been, I couldn't tell you that until after my next colonoscopy to see if it helped heal part of my colon, hah!

3rd day on Lialda, starting to feel a slight change in regularity. In all the yrs. of colitis , this is first time on this med. Hope this stuff works, tired of false alarms & racing to R/R'S. Thanks for your info.

Hello everyone.. I am really new to this forum but I have been with UC for 2 years now and its been really hard dealing with the pain, in fact thats why I am on here because I am in pain. I am currently taking 4 lialda a day 2 pills twice daily and thats all. its worked for the past year after testing my system with a butt load of meds asacols and and other expermintal types. right ow I have sharp pains in my left side. They are short maybe for a min or two but go away for a couple of hours and then return. I have made a recent trip to the store for some herbal meds that i see that work for some of you on here and hope they bring some kind of help.
