VSL3 enema, is it a good idea or I'll end up in hospital? :)

Frank, I think someone else tried this or at least talked about it, but I can't remember who it was...... maybe a search would show something.....?

Nothing you're doing looks that "out there" to me, but I have one question: Where do you get the fresh turmeric?

Iwouldn't put someone else's poo in you unless under the supervision of a doctor...this is an adaptaption of fecal transplantation used to erradicate infections in the colon where other traditional procedure have failed and the infection is persistant. There are procedures some doctors use to do this safely and with greater chances for success (simply stated they start with cleansing the colon completely and starting a regiment of antibiotics to kill off the infectous bacteria prior to using safely tested donor feces transplanted at certain intervals which is supposed to colonize the cleansed colon with this donor's beneficial bacteria.

Some in here have performed the transplant at home using spouses poop or children's poop. Some of these people report getting better, some experience no relief and some have gotten worse.

There is a hospital in Europe where this procedure is performed and there is a Dr. Barody (spelling may be off) in Austrialia who uses this procedure to treat UC patients who he believes has UC cause by inflection of the colon similar to ( C. Diff or other infectious bacteria.

Read more about this before just injecting other's poop as an enema because this may not be for you.

As to VSL enema...you should be okay to just use it orally as it can then be colonized throughout your whole digestive system and those bacteria will multiply and make thier way down to where you problems are in your colon. Inject in in an enema and, in my opnion, you lose everything you put in there when you take you next bm.

The brand is "Philippe de Vienne", one of the best brand of spices around here, for cooking, that is :) I recommend their steak spices too, but not for UC purposes hehe

Suebear: You're right about the Vitamin E concentration and bleeding. Fortunately, the study that I've mentioned in the original post stated that after months of doing huge vitamin E enemas, the subjects didn't have higher blood concentration of vit E. So it seems that it doesn't get into the bloodstream when doing an enema. But I'm definitively watch that.

As for the fecal implementation procedures, I'll definitively do in depth research before I give it a try. It might also turn off my girlfriend if I ask her to do her number 2 in a bowl for me :)
