VSL #3: small warning

Hey all, awhile back i posted that i thought my vsl #3 was possibly giving me diarrhea and stomach aches after meals. I didn't want to believe it and pinned my sickness on actually having Diarrhea. Well, stopped taking it for a few weeks and started to feel better so i thought i would take it again. I took it for two more weeks and again got bad diarrhea and horrible stomach aches after eating even simple things like rice. I've now been off vsl #3 for a week and a half and I'm feeling good again. So if you decide to try it out and you start having these symptoms, I would advise you to stop taking it.

Talk about our disease being so different for everyone eh? My experience with VSL has been awesome. However, in the summer when I was on Pentasa, Asacol and then Salofalk...my symptoms were crazy. I think it's trial and error. I wish you luck my friend. It's a stubborn ****** but I do believe vigilance and alot of discipline can overcome it or at least keep it minimally invasive in our lives.

What is interesting to me is that I've responded so much better to VSL "DS" strength than I did to two doses of regular VSL..... maybe it was the "lemon flavor" additives that gave me gas, etc....?

I'm not particularly sensitive to additives, so this would surprise me, but my current success with the DS is amazing - and I'm usually pretty cynical.
