I have pretty much come to the end of my rope with this god-forsaken disease. I have had more accidents in my car than I care to think of. I just brought in my truck to get an oil change and told the guy ahead of time that I had spilled hot and sour soup in my seat, laughed, and then shrugged it off. I was actually thinking of just putting a friggin litter box in my truck. That would be a little harder to explain to the mechanic ;) I am most def. heading for surgery. I don't care about the bag anymore I am ready. I am just venting like nuts now. My life is literaly controlled by this crap. Anyway, I hope that all that read this that they are doing well. Have a great weekend. I have to change the litter box in my truck now ;) j/k!

Hi....I can't relate to accidents, for none have happened to me except tiny ones while running to the toilet while at home...but if I wasn't able to maintain some control through meds, I'd do surgery for sure.

What meds are you on Anthony?

Hey you! Haven't seen you around in a while. I am sorry you're still doing so poorly. Maybe after the surgery you can get those seats reuplostered, haha, sorry, I had to joke... I have been doing kind of badly lately too and can relate to the struggle. I haven't had accidents but I had to dash many times and there have been a few close calls.. a few unexpected happenings.. never good... I wish you could get a period of freedom from this, it seems like you have been dealing with the worst for so long. I wish there was something out there that could help you. Have you looked into any clinical trials? Maybe there is something worth trying?

haha, trust me I am prolly just going to buy a whole new truck ;) My mother actually gave me the number to a friend that she works with and apparently his son just went for the surgery in my area and is doing extremely well. I haven't tried any clinical trials, and in response to quincy the only meds I am on right now are bi-weekly doses of Humira which has been keeping things barely at bay, but not enough. Hope all are doing well and it was good to hear from you again notsosickly!

Good luck Anthony! It sucks when the accidents become a usual occurrence. I have to use my DIY port-a-potty in my car probably once a week or so. Let us know how things go, what you decide, when, etc.

I have Crohn's and unfortunately have had several accidents in the past. 

 Just in case : I do the following. I wear pads, long with wings. I stash an extra pair of underwear in the trunk of my car. I carry a travelers pack of baby wipes in my back pocket.

well i hate that you are having to go through this right now, but hey YAY for getting healthy soon!
I know the idea of the bag seems scary,but trust me its sooooo much better!
No more wondering where a batrhoom is, or watchign what you eat or waiting fora flare, or popping a thousand pills a day!

Urgency is the worst thing about UC. I always felt I could manage when that symptom would subside, even if I never reached remission before Remicade.

This may be elementary, but are you careful about not eating right before you have to drive/ride somewhere, and doing pre-emptive bathroom stops before you get in your truck? I know, sometimes it doesn't help...
