...turned out to be a big, fat, NOTHING! Yay! I had my u/s yesterday, and the ovary was completely normal in size, there was no indication there had been a cyst, and everything looked completely normal. So, no idea why it was a little big, but I'm glad!
The interview went really well, I think. The job sounds amazing...the university really supports new faculty, much more so than I've seen at other universities, so it seems it would be much easier to succeed (ie, get tenure) in this job than in others I've looked at.
However, I started feeling cold symptoms coming on last week on Friday, and by Monday, when I flew out, I was in full-blown cold mode. Runny nose, *nasty* cough and congestion, etc, etc, etc. My right ear never fully cleared after we descended in Atlanta. So the whole two-day interview I was couging, sneezing, and blowing my nose, which got me some sympathy votes, but the cold probably kept me from being quite so at the top of my game.
I'll hear about the job at the end of February/early March. Please keep your fingers crossed for me! Last night, my right ear started hurting pretty badly, so I saw my GP this morning, and I've got an ear infection. He also heard a little bit of wheezing when he listened to my lungs, so prescribed a Z-pack, which was what I was going to request. Here's hoping it doesn't stir things up!
