At my last appointment my GI doctor told me to take Imodium once a day to slow things down a little. I also started taking a vitamin with Iron in it which I'm sure is also slowing things down. It's strange because I'm not going any less (5-6x day). But I feel constipated. It's like I traded one kind of discomfort for another. Has anyone experienced this? Imodium and or Iron making them feel ookier?

Yeah, that is what happened to me when I tried Immodium. I just couldn't stand the way it made me feel so I try to find other ways to bind my stool such as eating rice or bananas. Iron by itself may cause constipation but I don't think I've heard of it doing that while in a vitamin unless the iron content is high. So based on my past experience I would bet it's the Immodium that is making you feel this way.

Taking imodium while taking iron is a recipe for major constipation!

My GI gives me iron and Vitamin C pills. He gave them to me after I told him I was tired all the time.

Thanks for the advice! I am going to skip the imodium and take less of the iron and see how I do.
