Hey everyone :)
I don't know how you all feel about this... but I'd do it for sure in place of drinking a half gallon of yuk or taking 32 pills...
I just wanted to see what you all think about doing something like this instead? I don't know about cost, but I'd pay big bucks to avoid nausea and vomiting and pooping for 12 or more hours..... lol... P
I hope it's ok to post this link :)

Hi Susie,
I hope you are doing well and I hope you will have a fun filled weekend.
In regards to colon hydrotherapy, I doubt there's anyone on this board that has done it more than me...it IS very beneficial FOR ME especially when I'm in a bad flare, the recovery time is much, much shorter.
BUT...
I DO NOT recommend it for
most UC sufferers because your colon must be in good shape (
having no ulcers ) before they will do it. You simply cannot have a colonix done without consulting your GI first, because if your colon is in bad shape, a colonix could cause a rupture. The process involves massaging your stomach vigorously to help remove waste from your colon, so your colon must be able to handle that.
So my advice is do the prep the normal way...I know it's horrible, but it is the best thing to do for your colon unless your colon is in great shape.... and your GI is the only person to make that determination.
ps.
When I have a colonix done, like I did a couple of weeks ago...I always have an implant, where they flush good bacteria (probiotics) into the colon, so I'm not losing my good bacteria. In my case, a flare can last between two and four weeks before diet brings it under control, but with a colonix I recover within 3 to 7 days...but it's not cheap.
