Need Friends - MN CCFA support group

I've been flaring for a year and doing all this trial and error stuff with food/drugs which has pretty much played havock with my life. I need a friend(s) who can relate. Some of my existing friends have been incredibly supportive and as much as I like popping into this forum I am looking forward to some face to face relationships with people who can truly empathize.

I went on the CCFA website recently and there is a support group in Minneapolis Metro that's having it's first meeting this Sunday. I'm planning on going and hope to meet some of you there.

Where are you are located in MN?  I live in MN as well and it is very nice to have friends that relate to UC, I don't have any other than this forum has been a blessing!

I'm a 34 yr female and I am pregnant with my second child -due in April and had a very bad flare in my second trimester that landed me in the hospital for 5 days.  Now I'm on Remicade, very very expensive but feel like I'm in remission!

Would love to hear from you.

It is amazing how people really DON'T understand when they say they do.  I hope you can meet people in person who can relate.

My own mother still thinks I should just drink a glass of milk before I eat to coat my stomach, she says she understands what I am going through.

I used to live in the Minneapolis area and the CCFA chapter there has some great people! They don't have one around here and that makes me sad!!

Wish I lived in MN haha. This is actually a great idea and I wish I knew other people that had UC so I could vent to them and talk about our daily experiences and frustrations. Its different relating to someone irl than on a message board.
