I kinda didnt want to post this but I am going to anyway assuming that others may be wondering the same thing..
I can not remember what normal stool is supposed to look like..in particular the color and the size ..:S I know..
For the longest time my stools have been very light in color..I have been flaring on and off for two years and the whole time they have been this way..Is this the color of flaring stool?
Also..If the stools are not firm but not diareah..where is the inflammation coming from?
I talked to my doc today about giving me enemas because althought the suppositories are helping with a bit of the urgency..I think the problem may be a bit higher up due to the fact that my stools are still thin and light in color and not the firmest..He responded saying that is why I am taking Salofalk and that it is for the whole colon and did not want to give the enemas..he said to try the suppositories twice a day for now and then see him in a bit..
I was dx orginally with pancolitis. but from all the symptoms I have had during flares I think only my original flare involved the whole colon..I think the other two flares I have had were more limited cause it was more urgency, bright bleeding, tenesmus, and running about 50 times a day only to expel nothing but gas or blood or a touch of stool.
Anyway..I really would like to know what a normal stool should look like..I am also taking supplements and stuff so maybe that will have an effect but for the longest time all i can remember is light colored stools. I am going to google this now lol
