I was in the hospital for 10 days! It was the worst! Everything went wrong and no medications improved my condition. I was on a clear liquid diet for the WHOLE time! That is JUST broth and jello They finally put me on Remicade and I think that fixed me! It made me really tired and I fell asleep while they were giving it to me, but then the next day I felt amazing. I still feel great, and it's so weird to have normal BM's so suddenly. After almost 2 years of NEVER getting this under control it is fixed! The only thing I notice is that I have a severe aversion to food/ lack of appetite. While I was in there, all I could think of was eating EVERYTHING and now when I sit down to eat it tastes weird and I just don't want it!
Being stuck there was the most stressful part, my family was too busy to help with my son, so my boyfriend had to take care of him the whole time, which was amazing and he is a saint! It was the end of the quarter so I fell behind and couldn't finish my classes. My sister tried to commit suicide. And then to top it off a couple days before I was released my boyfriend got in a parachuting accident! At least he only needed stitches- no broken bones.
Now I am home and there is so much to do!
