what side effects are you experiencing with the immunosuppressant drugs to control your UC?

I haven't had any glaring ones. Might have made me a little quesy the first week though that could have also been the severity of the flare. Same with fatigue. I can't tell if it's the aza or just normal lack of sleep. I DO seem to be a bit more sun sensitive though.

I don't have any side effects. I don't feel like I am taking any medication. At this point I just feel better overall, more like my old self.

On 50 mgm of 6MP for seven years. It lowered my white count but stopped working last year. Doctor increased it to 100 mgm....ugh...flu like symptoms, just over all feeling very sick. White count dropped to 1.6, bilirubin 2x the normal limit. Doc took me off it.

I took Azathioprine in the past. I had absolutely no side effects. Unfortunately, I also had no beneficial effects.
I hope they work for you!

I have only been on 100mg Imuran since Thursday, so far it makes me a little drowsy but I haven't noticed anything else.

I get alot of funny stuff that sends me to the hospital. ex. i got selulitis and the doctors thought i had the flesh eating disease. I get colds and all that really easy and my white count drops very low when Im sick. My doctor took me out of work because I would go to work and the next day be in the ER....I did work with young kids. My doses are some times high cause I also had a liver transplant but it does kind of suck.

Been on 6mp since August 09,had some fatigue but the anti-anxietiy meds can give you that also.Currently off of 6mp for last 2 weeks because of low WBC[ON 125MG],3rd blood test today since low WBC.Will go to 100mg when WBC reaches at least 3.5.Started taking the 6mp at night in November in case it was 6mp that was giving me the fatigue.GOOD LUCK

Jennifer,
Six hours is good! Just picked up some ambien at the pharmacy. I'm sleeping maybe five hours on Lunesta. My Zyprexa (anti-psychotic) is supposed to make me sleepy but it doesn't. I'm on 30 mg pred now.
